Heartsfield last weekend...
In a late-breaking report, Dick-the-Manager (who "guested" as banjo-player--yes, he's even been taking lessons on this latest instrument he wants to play!) said that it was a good time with many friends and fans there to share.

MarchBandness Update

Yes, unfortunately Heartsfield is out of the competition in the semi-finals...

And while we could all go boo-hooing about it, it was a terrific "feather in the cap" to have made it to that level, having won the KSHE Classics 1 category.  Also, the two bands left in the finals, The Who and the Beatles, are hardly unworthy competitors, being two of the heaviest-hitting (pun intended!) bands ever.

Many thanks to all of you who voted.  As Perry often says, Heartsfield's friends and fans are the best!!

On the loss of a fellow musician...

Perry writes in the Heartsfield Howdy 03/28/08:

Some sad news about one of our brothers. Stuart Nevitt left this earth very recently and he will be missed by many friends, musicians, and fans...

New Dogs in the Hall!

Image

With some new submissions in the last few weeks, the Hall of Dogs continues to present worthy new "in-dog-tees."   Per stated policy, all are voted in with a unanimous three-paws-up from the esteemed panel you see above:  Molly, Tomah, and Trevor. (It is rumored that Perry, while technically unable to vote as he is pawless, may have some slight influence on the panel, though this is unconfirmed.)

See the ***NEW*** pups,  along with their fine predecessors, here:  Hall of Dogs

Perry and his new pal, Renke

Those of you who've read our recent e-mail newsletter, Heartsfield Howdy 10/03/07 (click here to view it if you missed it), have already been introduced to Perry's latest animal buddy, his newly adopted wolf, Renke.
There is an interesting article on Drive Magazine's site which features Perry and explains the adopt-a-wolf program at Wolf Park.  Here's the link: Perry Up Close with the Wolves (don't miss the cute smooch pic!).

Heartsfield in Drive Magazine!

In conjunction with their recent appearances in St. Louis, the band was featured in pictures and a nicely written article on page 10 of the August issue of Drive Magazine (www.drivestl.com).
