Hello to the men of Heartsfield! This is an honor to be able to write you. My name is Amy and Im 31 years old I grew up in a house where your music is highly respected by both of my parents, who happened to see you in concert with Micheal Martin Murphey in Fort Worth, Texas circa 1973 or 74. They liked Micheal's music but they absolutly loved you guys!
They have at least three of your albums that I know of. You have beautiful music and harmonies, something that is missing anymore from what is called "music" today, everything is generated and fake and used and there is no creative spark. I know your songs by heart, as a matter of fact, my husband who had never heard of you before asked me one day what song I was singing while I was washing dishes, I replied "Im Coming Home", he asked who it was by and I said "Heartsfield", he says hmm Ive never heard of them. My dad gave me his record collection a few years back so I went through and got all three of the albums out and put them on the turn table----(yes I think Im the only 31 year old who owns a turn table! my nieces think Im ancient!) I played the records for my husband and he enjoyed it very much, but his suggestion was to see if we could find them on cd, I was like "whats wrong with my records!!!???" But I think as a surprise for my folks I will find them on cd and get them so they can enjoy listening to them again. Some of my most favorite memories growing up involve listening to music and you are apart of that you are in the soundtrack of my life and I love you guys thank you for the wonderful music that has always been there that has brought good feelings, touched lives, picked me up when I have been blue, or when Im just doing the dishes!!!! You rock my soul---Im looking forward to hearing more----many blessing to all of you, and if you ever think you'll be in Missouri anytime soon we would love to see you, Ill bring my folks! Sincerely ~Amy Cosby Springfield MO. |
