Howdy to all our friends and fans!
Just sitting here nursing my very first damn cold of the season with some Airborne, Zicam, Queens Delight (that contains: Royal Jelly, Propolis & Bee Pollen), Blackstrap Molasses, Ricola Lozenges and various vitamins & Herbs. Somehow though the best at making me feel A LOT BETTER is the old fashioned Hot Toddy with Agave Nectar and strong woody brandy!! Traveling in crowds tends to expose my butt to a large variety of things to catch! Could have been the last wild crazy show. Last Wed. was one of those unbelievable nights that just took off like a rocket. Must have been 20 or 30 folks up on stage with us just a rippin’ it up. YEEHAW! The addition of our new geetar/mandolin player, Andon, just takes it all over the top. Also had a banjo buddy, Dave Baggs, sit in and pick. The darn show just grabbed us all. So with this burning up the tunes in mind, we are heading up north for two nights in one of our favorite states, good ole Wisconsin. Although we are still recovering from the Beverly show, Thanksgiving, and racking our brains to figure out what the heck to get everyone for the BIG day coming up (lord knows there are enough commercials being thrown at us), the band is on fire and ready to rock it out with our friends up north.
So you all take care, have to go mix up another toddy and get back in the saddle for the next round of roof raisin’ singin’! Hope to see many of our good pals up in the north woods on this trip.
One last thing, if you’re a lookin’ for some really unusual gift ideas and you have the Organic thing in your heart, visit http://happygirlkitchen.com/, which is my daughter's biz in Santa Cruz, California. She makes the best damn pickled organic vegetables in the world, everything from Bread & Butter Squash, Cherries, Country Ketchup to heirloom tomater’s. Tell her the ole’ man sent you.
