(I know it is unusual to list the rates directly but I want to work only with serious musicians and bands so I feel it is important to not beat around the bush and be straight up with them. That's the way I work, and I hope it's appreciated.) Recording Live Shows
Flat Rate Packages:
9 to 16 tracks • 10 to 12 songs averge (up to 70 minutes) $1,500.00 Planet start-up Special $1250.00
This package includes: Set-up & recording at location, average 5 to 6 hours per tune mixing time (more if needed), basic mastering to bring CD to duplication point, 3 rounds of band input adjustments, and two master disc's. No bull here, the mastering will not replace a 1000- 1500 dollar pro mastering house but I master my own and others CDs here and they sound great, better than many mastering attempts by folks who charge much more. I consistantly get great sound reviews from pro engineers and studio owners. 9 to 16 tracks • 6 to 9 songs average (up to 55 minutes) $1,300.00 Planet start-up Special $1100.00
Package includes same as above. 9 to 16 tracks • 5 to 6 songs Demo or EP pack (up to 40 minutes) $1,100.00 Planet start-up Special $1000.00
Package includes same as above. Band adjustments are feedback from the band in written notes after the band hears the initial mix. I then make the adjustments and we repeat the process. Overdub $25.00 per hour for additional parts. Fixes and replacement of parts usually included in package price, to a point. A $300.00 deposit required by night of recording. We then record the show, I mix one tune and with agreement we proceed with the rest of the project.
This protects you as well as me since we both have no major time or costs rapped up in the project before hand, never had to stop planned project.
No finished project will be released to client without payment in full. Payment methods: cash, certified check, credit card, Master Card Visa American Express, PayPal
(ad 2.5% for credit card charges). Prices subject to change.
Shows that are more than 35 miles from Chicago area will require a $1.50 per mile travel charge. In special cases, finances can be negotiated please feel free to inquire. For certain situations and projects, if I believe in a project or band we may be able work something out,
so do not hesitate to call and ask.
