Perry Jordan is joined in celebration over the completion of one of the songs on the album with Dan Myers, who wrote the single “Here I Am” and can be heard singing and playing on the song; Levi Britton, who is the lead vocalist on the single; vocalist Derek Fawcett; and studio engineer, Larry Millas. Heartsfield recorded the album in Jim Peterik’s World Stage Studio in the Chicago area.
Here is Perry in the mixing studio in Los Angeles with a can of his beloved boiled peanuts for multi-platinum album producer John Ryan of Chicago Kid Productions and engineer Charlie Watts. As he was born in Georgia, Perry always brings his favorite boiled peanuts across the country to the delight (!?!?) of all.
Jim Peterik (founder of both the Ides of March and Survivor and the author of “Vehicle,” “Eye of the Tiger,” “Hang on Loosely,” and eighteen Top Ten hits) collaborated with Perry on one of the songs on the forthcoming album and is heard on the cut. The experience in the studio was outstanding and Heartsfield members Andon Davis and Dave Nelson (along with the rest of us) enjoyed working with many of the fine instruments in Jim’s guitar collection. You will hear many of them on the album.

Perry Jordan has been recovering the past few months from a heart attack and is in a rehabilitation center in Wisconsin where he continues his recovery. He is looking pretty good, having lost some weight and being on a good diet. While he is physically doing fairly well, he is working on his memory as part of the rehab process. We know you all will have Perry in your thoughts over the coming weeks as this process continues.
