Heartsfield Tour in the Works

Perry Jordan, “Here I Am” lead vocalist Levi Britton, and “Here I Am” author Dan Myers will soon commence a promotional tour in the Midwest and around the country to bring attention to the single and new album.  Heartsfield will be playing acoustic shows, doing interviews a number or radio stations, and visiting a number of cities around the country.  Come back often and watch our Tweets for further information on the tour!

Heartsfield Wraps New Album

Perry Jordan is joined in celebration over the completion of one of the songs on the album with Dan Myers, who wrote the single “Here I Am” and can be heard singing and playing on the song; Levi Britton, who is the lead vocalist on the single; vocalist Derek Fawcett; and studio engineer, Larry Millas.  Heartsfield recorded the album in Jim Peterik’s World Stage Studio in the Chicago area.

Perry and Boiled Peanuts: Behind the Scenes

Here is Perry in the mixing studio in Los Angeles with a can of his beloved boiled peanuts for multi-platinum album producer John Ryan of Chicago Kid Productions and engineer Charlie Watts.  As he was born in Georgia, Perry always brings his favorite boiled peanuts across the country to the delight (!?!?) of all.

Rock Legend Jim Peterik Collaborates

Jim Peterik (founder of both the Ides of March and Survivor and the author of “Vehicle,” “Eye of the Tiger,” “Hang on Loosely,” and eighteen Top Ten hits) collaborated with Perry on one of the songs on the forthcoming album and is heard on the cut.  The experience in the studio was outstanding and Heartsfield members Andon Davis and Dave Nelson (along with the rest of us) enjoyed working with many of the fine instruments in Jim’s guitar collection.  You will hear many of them on the album.

Now, a little more about that new album...

We have recorded thirteen tracks at Jim Peterik’s World Stage Studio.  Jim (Ides of March and Survivor and author of "Vehicle," "Eye of the Tiger," "Hang on Loosely," and eighteen Top Ten hits) and Perry even collaborated on one of the songs on the album and you can hear Jim on that cut.

Perry wrote or co-wrote nine of the songs. His collaborators included not only Jim Peterik, but original Heartsfield member, Fred Dobbs. You will be blown away by the Take 6 arranged a capella version of Heartsfield's original Billboard charted single “Music Eyes” as well as the guest vocalists who perform on a number of the cuts. The beautiful and thoughtful “I Pray” is reminiscent of the harmonies of CSN&Y and “Here I Am” is a fresh blockbuster.

The focus of our upcoming promotional tour is the first single from the album, "Here I Am."

"Send me your sweetest notes, Send them through the night.
Like a good-time story, It’s just turning out all right."
